On May 9th, 2025, the CBC released a story about the Breast Health Research Unit. The story, entitled "IWK breast cancer research team investigating why N.S. death rates are highest in Canada," includes both Dr. Knapp and Drohan expressing the need for patient feedback and data to inform best practices in breast cancer treatment.

From the article:

"That data is there. It's not a mystery. We needed the resources and the funding to answer those questions," said Knapp. Drohan called the research "hugely important."

"If we don't measure it, we don't understand it and we can't improve it," said Drohan.
